We have a winner in the school logo competition. Three judges Merlin Planterose, James Hawkins and Robert Hicks selected Louisa Clarke's (S2) design over some very stiff competition. The judges commented on the very high standard of all the entries and of the quality of ideas on display. They believe the design is a contemporary fusion of the heritage of the area with the rivets perhaps pointing the way to the future. It is a very 21st Century design and one that has been warmly received by almost all of the pupils in school. Slightly more challenging for the older members of the school-Head Teacher Mr McFedries commented that 'the youngsters here tell me they are creative, forward looking and unique and this design, whilst it challenges me at some level, certainly captures that spirit. I look forward to seeing how our students in Business and Art take this forward onto our own brand of clothing'. Very well done to Louisa!
